CHALLENGE
Weebly is a fast-growing e-commerce and website-builder brand that was ready to invest in research for its long-term health and success. We needed to collaborate closely with their team to define their key consumer and the factors that would determine their brand direction. During our study, top mobile payments company Square acquired Weebly, giving us the opportunity to help both companies navigate new branding and communications challenges and take our study to the global level.
METHOD
With an online survey, we sized the market, identified competitors, and measured all major category and brand features. We also tested taglines and messages for immediate application. Following the acquisition, we expanded the study to be a tracker, include 3 new markets (UK, AU, CA), and a total sample size of 7,000. We also incorporated the Square brand and a brand compatibility module.
RESULTS
MineMR continues to inform the way Weebly and Square merge their brands successfully and market to consumers worldwide.
