Around the world, from past generations to the current, America is still seen as the land of opportunity. For inspiration, MineMR looked into Forbes’ top 10 richest self-made women in America. To be eligible for this list, women had to have substantially made their own fortunes and needed a minimum of $250 million in net worth to make the cut. For the top 10 self-made women noted, all have a net worth valued in the billions. At the top of the list is Diane Hendricks (of ABC Supply, $4.9B net worth), followed by the beloved entertainer Oprah Winfrey (of OWN cable network, $3.1B net worth).
What’s interesting is that the types of businesses that have pushed these women into America’s richest top rankings are as diverse as the women are as people. Covering technology, entertainment, food, fashion, travel, and beyond, it’s clear to see that it’s not the sector you’re in that drives your success. It’s you.
