As people, each of us are faced with endless decisions in our daily life, impacting the quality of our happiness. We weigh our rational needs against emotional needs from the experiences we partake to the people and brands we include in our lives. Of all decisions you make in your life, choosing a partner is perhaps the most crucial and complex decision making that we all take on. Not only do we need to first understand what is important to us as individuals but we often also factor in what is expected from external influences such as family and society. In the spirit of love on Valentine’s Day celebrated on February 14th each year, MineMR looked into the important decision factors when choosing a spouse or partner. Among US adults, sharing similar ideas on having and raising children with a potential partner is critical above shared moral and religious beliefs for both men and women. While the top drivers of love mostly align between the gender, eight in ten women compared to half of men agree that the most important factor in spouse selection is having a partner that provides stability (through a steady job).

Whatever factors most drive your decision in love, MineMR wishes you a happy Valentine’s Day!
